Lavina Quick Change Tooling for Concrete Grinding is the best tool for grinding stone and concrete floors, with aggressive diamond inside for fast grinding and leveling.
Because concrete grinding is usually done with metal bond diamond tools. In most cases, you would start with 30 or 60 grit to open up the concrete and gradually refine it. So we offer Quick Change trapezoid style tools with one, two or three segments (buttons or bars or Rhombus or Oval or Arrow, etc), as well as puck style metal bond discs.

Our Lavina Quick Change Diamond Tooling come in different metal bonds designed specifically for the different types of concrete hardness. To select the correct bond for a specific floor, so we recommend using the Mohs Scratch Test kit first to determine the hardness of the concrete.

4. How to do Selection for one or two segments (buttons or bars) :
Choose between one or two segments (buttons or bars) to control the speed and aggressiveness of the cut. For example: Fewer segments cut faster, whereas more segments create more surface contact and allow for surface refinement with less scratches.
Double button / bar tools are recommended for heavier machines – larger than 25 inches. Single button / bar tools are designed for lighter machines, or where aggressive stock removal is required. We recommend using single-segment tools for the first step even with heavier machines for faster opening of the concrete

For example: To expose medium to large aggregate, you can start with 30 grit metals, For small to medium aggregate start with 60 grit metals, For salt and pepper -start with 120 grit metals.
